Archivio di Stato di Novara

"Catasto teresiano", "Squadra" of Biandrate in the Novara County, Fisrengo Municipality map

Land registers

XVIIIth - XXth centuries

The land registers held in the State Archives consist of the registers from the municipal repository, the Ufficio Tecnico Erariale (U.T.E.) and the Ufficio delle imposte dirette.

The lists describing the cadastres from the Municipality's fonds include the Catasto Bergamino or the Cadastre of Charles V, the quinternetti of 1614 (quinternetto = set of five sheets of writing paper folded and inserted one inside the other), eighteenth- and nineteenth-century registers and sommarioni (registers that accompany cadastral maps and constitute the key to interpreting the respective maps) including the Theresian Cadastre.

Registers from the U.T.E. date back to the 19th century, while the series from the Ufficio delle imposte dirette dates back to the 1930s-1950s.

The inventory consisting of cadastral rents and cadastres can be found at the following link: link.

As far as urban real estate is concerned, the Cadastre of urban Properties, drafted in 1802 to tax the owners of properties within the city walls, remains of considerable importance. The document, of municipal source, has been filed and linked to the cadastral map of the city and extramural suburban area of Novara of 1723.

The filing with the map can be viewed at this link: link
