After its great success during European Heritage Days, the State Archive of Novara will be reopening “The notes of Coccia” exhibition, enriched with unpublished pieces on the history of the municipal theatre and other connected documents.
This extraordinary opening of the exhibition will be taking place as part of Domenica di carta 2023, the long day that the Ministry of Culture dedicates to visits of the State Libraries and Archives: staff will be delighted to lift the lid on the secrets and stories of documents, directors, deposits and donations, key elements of the vast cultural heritage of the Institutions that safeguard Memories and protect History.
The exhibition will be open on Sunday 8 October from 3 to 7 p.m. As well as viewing the documents of the Teatro Coccia archive and the Archive of the Municipality of Novara, visitors will also be able to access the former church of St. Mary Magdalene (Corso Cavallotti entrance), home to the Notarial Acts Archive, and admire its majestic 19th century wood shelving.
The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Teatro Carlo Coccia Foundation.
