Following its great success during the European Heritage Days, the State Archive of Novara will be reopening “The notes of Coccia” exhibition, now enriched with unpublished pieces on the history of the municipal theatre and other related documents.
This extraordinary opening of the exhibition will be taking place as part of Domenica di carta 2023, the long day that the Ministry of Culture dedicates to visits of the State Libraries and Archives. Staff will be delighted to reveal the secrets and stories behind documents, directors, deposits and donations, key elements of the vast cultural heritage of the Institutions that preserve Memories and protect History.
The exhibition will be open on Sunday, 8 October, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. In addition to viewing documents of the Teatro Coccia archive and the Archive of the Municipality of Novara, visitors will also be able to access the former Church of St. Mary Magdalene (via the Corso Cavallotti entrance), home to the Notarial Acts Archive, and admire its majestic 19th-century wooden shelving.
The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Teatro Carlo Coccia Foundation.
